Islington (Cook and Collect) Project

  • Location: New River Baptist Church
    80 Arran Walk
    N1 2TL
  • When: Wednesday Collection between 1.30pm-2.30pm
  • Contact: [email protected]
  • Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

We are now running our Cook and Collect takeaway service. If you would like a free, nutritious cooked meal, you can come and collect every Wednesday between 1:30pm – 2:30pm.

Due to government guidelines, there will be no seating at the venue and all food must be taken away to eat.  We hope to return to our community meals as soon as we can.

Contrary to the saying – we always need more cooks! Anyone can volunteer with us, and there are plenty of roles for you even if you’re not too confident in the kitchen. Volunteer Here

FoodCycle Islington is only made possible with the great volunteers giving their time, enthusiasm and energy. We have opportunities available for people to come along and cook, host guests and be involved in collecting the surplus food donations from local suppliers.

You don’t need to have any previous cooking experience, although if you do that is just as welcome! We want as many local volunteers as possible and everyone is welcome to be a part of FoodCycle Islington.

Here’s what it looks like from the outside.

FoodCycle is a fantastic initiative which ensures support goes to those that need it most. We are all too pleased to play our part in assisting their mammoth efforts in getting food to the more vulnerable people from the local area.
