FoodCycle Cambridge has been running in the city since 2010. We run three meal services in the city as well as catering for special events.

Each week we collect surplus produce locally from Sainsbury’s, the City Food Bank, Cambridge Crop Share, the Cambridge Fruit and Veg Company and Lensfield Road Farmer’s Market and cook exciting and nutritious meals for our guests to enjoy.

FoodCycle Cambridge is only made possible with the great volunteers giving their time, enthusiasm and energy. We have opportunities available for people to come along and cook, host guests and be involved in collecting the surplus food donations from local suppliers. Volunteer Here

We’re always looking for new volunteers for a range of different roles – whether you’d just like to lend a hand in the kitchen or fancy organising a fundraising event for us, we’d love to hear from you!

We want as many local volunteers as possible and everyone is welcome to be a part of FoodCycle Cambridge.

Please email [email protected] if you need more information.

I’ve never come across a charity that ticks all the boxes like this. You’re doing something which is really positive to the environment by using surplus food, you’re meeting new people, talking to new people, getting new skills, and you’re also giving something back to the community. The feeling you get when you give somebody who really needs a meal a warm nutritious meal, you can’t beat it really!
