Employee Volunteering

Share Share

We have four simple and effective options for employee volunteering suitable for all businesses.

Individual, or pair volunteering

Employee volunteers can sign up to be part of a team in pairs for a volunteering session in London or up to eight people at any project outside of London. We kindly ask for a suggested donation of £50 per volunteer to cover the costs of this opportunity and ensure the continued running of our projects long term. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Miriam

Food Invention Challenge

(Up to 70 people – location and date dependant)

For groups of 10 or more, we host our Food Invention Challenge day, lasting approximately 4 hours, and taking place from either 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm. We will split your workforce into teams of approximately 5 / 6 people, and challenge teams to create a three course meal, after which our team will deliver these meals to our projects or donate it to local shelters and communities. The food is judged for taste and presentation, and there are winners! This is a lot of fun, and 100% of our participants say they love it and would do it again (we’ve had well over 1,000 people taking part in this to date). We require a minimum spend of £2,000 for this event. Call us on 0207 729 2775 or email Miriam

Letting the community know

(5 – 30 people)

We want to ensure as many people as possible know about our delicious three-course meals, so we need to get out and leaflet! In teams, we work out areas which need our support and arrange for you to let people know about our services, we will challenge your teams to find the right areas, raise awareness of FoodCycle. This event is for projects outside of London only. Prices start at £35 per head for this fun and valuable activity.

Pro-Bono support and other skills based volunteering

If you have a set of skills that you think would be useful to us, let us know! We don’t always know what we need, and we always love a chat. Why not call us or drop us an email and let us know.
