We’re FoodCycle Bloomsbury, serving tasty meals every Sunday lunchtime at the Somers Town Community Centre in London. Each week, we collect surplus fruit and vegetables, and turn these ingredients into nutritious (and delicious!) three-course meals for the community.

Got some spare time on Sundays and fancy cookin’ up a storm with us? We’re always looking for new volunteers and anyone is welcome to help out – whatever your level of skill in the kitchen.

You don’t need to have any previous cooking experience, although if you do that is just as welcome! We want as many local volunteers as possible and everyone is welcome to be a part of FoodCycle Bloomsbury.

Please email if you need more information.

The whole ethos appeals to me, you know I’m the youngest of ten kids and we didn’t have two pennies to rub together, so it’s in my ethos not to throw away food…Prices have gone up so much in the past year. There’s a lot of people round here that would benefit from something like this. The block across from us is full of pensioners. Most of them will live on their own and won’t have facilities to cook in.
